First, you’ll want to choose the right realtor for you.

A market expert that you feel comfortable with, that you can trust to advocate for. you and is going to educate you along the way.

 
 

Lender

Next you’ll want to pick a local lender.

Unless you’re paying in all cash, you’ll need to assess how you’re going to finance this purchase. You’ll be required to gather your financial documents and send them over so they can take a deeper look and determine your budget.

 

Title & Escrow

This individual acts as a third party on behalf of both buyer and seller and manages the real estate transaction. They also provide title insurance policies. In Northern California, the title and escrow officer is one individual whereas in other parts of the state/country they may be two separate entities.

In some cases, a seller may have already chosen an officer and opened up a pre-escrow account, but you are not required to use whoever they chose.

 

Inspectors

Unless you are waiving an inspection contingency, you’ll want to line up a home and pest inspector as well as whatever necessary professional is needed based on the condition of the property. Most sellers provide disclosure packets of previously obtained inspections, but some buyers prefer to conduct their own inspections with professionals of their choice.
